About the Role
The Project Manager is accountable for delivering BEMS projects safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality and contractual requirements. The PM leads the day-to-day execution of the project, manages the client relationship for that project, and coordinates internal deliverables across the CAD team (panel wiring schematics), Design team (control narratives, control strategy software, front-end graphics), and commissioning resources. The Project Manager directs Project Engineers, ensuring technical submittals are issued correctly and on time, oversees snag management and closeout, and manages project commercials including invoicing and claims throughout the project lifecycle. The PM also supports the development of Project Engineers towards PM capability through mentoring and structured delegation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own delivery of assigned BEMS projects on time, within budget, and to specification, with safe execution throughout.
- Own the client relationship for the project: lead meetings, manage expectations, handle day-to-day communications, and drive decisions.
- Create and manage the project programme, coordinating milestones and dependencies across: Procurement, CAD, Design and commissioning activities
- Direct and delegate to Project Engineers: ensure technical submittals and project documentation are issued correctly and on time.
- Coordinate with the site resource coordinator to schedule commissioning and site activities; ensure readiness (materials, documentation, access, prerequisites).
- Manage project delivery quality: review progress, manage risks/issues, and drive resolution of technical and programme constraints.
- Lead snag management and closeout: ensure snags are reviewed, prioritised, and closed; ensure handover documentation is complete.
- Manage project commercials: invoicing/claims, cost control, forecasting, and reporting of project performance.
- Identify and initiate variations/changes where applicable, working with the Contract Manager for approval and high-risk decisions.

Qualification/Skills/Competencies/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience managing BEMS (or similar building services/controls) projects end-to-end.
- Strong planning and coordination ability across multiple internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness: budgeting, cost tracking, valuation/invoicing/claims, and managing change.
- Solid technical understanding of BEMS delivery (HVAC integration, controls strategy, commissioning lifecycle, documentation).
- Confident client-facing communicator; able to manage expectations and handle conflict constructively.
- Strong leadership and delegation: ability to direct PEs and develop them towards PM capability.
- Proficiency with MS Office; MS Project and Procore advantageous.
- Procore experience is advantageous but not essential
